The Notebook Solar Charger with Power Bank SCGII plus is one of the most universal and powerful devices of its class worldwide. In combination with our solar panels a powerful mobile solar system can be defined individually. The SCGII plus allows you to charge notebooks, camcorders, digicams, navigation devices, mobile phones (iPhone), MP3-Players (iPod) and other electrical devices via CLA-car- or USB-adapter as well as Type AA and AAA rechargeable batteries.

The Solar Power Bank SCGII plus combines a solar-charging control system of the latest generation with an integrated high-performance energy accumulator (approx. 70Wh). The charging equipment of the Solar Power Bank SCGII plus not only guarantees effective charging and discharging processes, a long lifespan and the best possible protection of the accumulators, but also economic use of the energy. It works automatically, monitors itself and is very sturdy. To achieve the best possible output from the solar cells, the SCGII plus works according to the MPP-tracking principle. With the MPP (Maximum Point of Power), solar cells are always operated in the range of their maximum power capability by means of intelligent monitoring of their characteristic curve. This allows the solar yield to be increased by up to 20%.

The Solar Power Bank SCGII plus also has two separate inputs for charging the internal accumulator: one input for connecting solar modules and one for connecting the wall power supply or car charging cable. In addition, there are also three outputs that can be switched separately for connecting electrical devices and for charging standard accumulators (NiMH or NiCd). The SCGII plus is operated via a comfortable keyboard with illuminated status displays: 1A. Input DC in 12V - for charging the internal accumulators via a 110V/220V-wall power supply or a car charging cable. 1B. Input DC in solar (not shown, is located in a protected place in the accumulator compartment) - for charging the internal accumulators with solar module(s) 2. Status display for the internal accumulators - depending on the charging status 1 (low) to 3 (full) bars light up. Flashes when charging via input DC in 12V. 3. Main key - press for at least 2 seconds to activate, press for at least 5 seconds to deactivate. 4. Key 12V out - for switching the 12V-output (12V-car jack) on and off 5. Key 5V out (USB) - for switching the 5V-output (two parallel USB-jacks - no protocol!) on and off 6. Key for charging external accumulators - for starting and stopping the charging of external accumulators in the accumulator compartment 7. Charging display for external accumulators - flashes green during charging. Green permanent light shows that the accumulator is fully charged; a red light indicates that the accumulator is defective or inserted wrongly.
